The Flagship Program
The Reconciliation League’s curriculum combines rigorous academic study with experiential learning to prepare Fellows to navigate difference with curiosity, humility, and purpose. Through an integrated, multidisciplinary approach, Fellows learn not only to examine unfamiliar ideas, but also to engage thoughtfully with those who hold different perspectives while developing the skills needed to build dialogue in service of society.
A Generous Summer Fellowship Program
The League’s featured initiative is a Fellowship Program which brings together students whom the League schools have identified as leaders willing to engage in dialogue with others who have very different experiences and viewpoints.
Each member school sends student leaders to each session, the first two of which will take place in the Summer of 2027. In addition, the Posse Foundation sends two Posse students from two different schools to each session. And about 15% of each cohort are students from schools that are not members of the League, chosen through an “at-large” selection process.
Drawn as they are from a range of backgrounds and cultures, the Fellows join each other for several weeks in an intensive, residential program consisting both of specially developed courses and a set of tailored exercises designed to hone the skills of bridging divides.
A Reconciliation Fellowship covers full costs, including room and board as well as tuition; the cost of the retreat portion of the program is also included. Participants earn up to 8 course credits, which they can apply to completing their degrees at their home institution, consistent with their university’s rules on transfer credits.

Both sessions offer the same anchor reconciliation course; however, the honors courses and retreat sites differ.

After the Fellowship
Having completed the initial program, the Fellows may be welcomed into the Reconciliation Corps; as Corps members, they pledge to continue over time the mission of building bridges. This is not a casual commitment: each quarter, every year, Corps members are expected to post on a League bulletin board a report on the work they have done as disciples of dialogue over the previous three months.
Over time, the League will produce thousands of leaders who will be a formidable force, continually connected through the relationships they have built and through the League itself: a force for healing our society in expanding circles.
